Galileo Galilei ( Tuscan - Italian, 1564 - 1642 ), father of modern experimental physics according to Einstein, is best known for his two major contributions, namely Galileo's "Law of Falling Bodies" and the "Law of Inertia", both of which were later substantiated by Isaac Newton's invented calculus ( between years 1665-1666 ) which, by the way, was also invented by Gottfried Wilhelm von Leibnitz ( between years 1673-1676 ) with only a time shift of some 8-10 years between these two giants of mathematical physics in the invention of the differential-integral calculus.
