If the photon rest ( or proper ) masso = 0, how come light is bent in a gravity field?

Newton's Theory of Gravity requires that there be at least two or more extensible and ponderous masses at a given distance ( Einstein: spooky 'action at a distance' ) from each other for a force of attraction to exist between them. The answer lies in Einstein's General Theory of Relativity which differs from Newton's concept of immutable space and time.

Gravity in Einstein's Universe
Gravity is the geometry of spacetime curvature. And, hence, bodies which seemingly "attract" each other are actually following the spacetime curvature of least expenditure of energy.
